Storming of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Donetsk
The May Day march of pro-Russian activists turned into the storming of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Donetsk. The police initially controlled access to the building, but the stones flew toward them and the crowd began to storm the entrance. The police used gas and stun grenades, injuring several people. Ultimately, the policemen were pushed away to the rear of the building, where separatists disarmed them. After the seizure of the building, the Ukrainian flags were burned, and the flag of the Republic of Donetsk was hoisted. Fortunately, the policemen weren’t lynched.
