'Parody of Maidan'
Near the parliament of the Crimean Autonomic Republic there is a parody of Maidan with several tents. Pro-Russian activists collect signatures under petition to unify with Russia. Several "green guys" with visible guns present near entrance and on balcony of Parliament. Present troops of "Samoobrona" of the Crimea are combined of random combination of pro-Russian Cossacks and criminal looking thugs.
Big cues to the banks (on e.g. of ‘Privat Bank’) and ‘cash machines’. Even in the evening people struggle to get money.
On the square of Lenin there is an empty scene with a laser show saying: "Victory”, “We are in Russia”, “Russia is our home".
Several cars with Russian forces ride around the city but "green guys" are not visible in the evening.
Crimean local authorities have set impossible criteria for acreditation of journalists to cover the referendum. Journalists were asked to give all of their personal details. Most of them refused and only pro-Russian journalists remained.
Tomorrow at 2 p.m. Crimean tatars will begin a “human chain” actions across the peninsula.
