Open Dialog Foundation
The Foundation is actively engaged in cooperation with parliamentarians involved in foreign affairs, human rights and relations with the CIS countries aimed at supporting the process of democratisation and liberalisation in the post-Soviet area.
The Foundation was established, inter alia, based on the experience and contacts gained from the period of the Orange Revolution in Ukraine in 2004. Currently, we are supporting the Euromaidan.
The Foundation is actively engaged in providing assistance to Maidan families and victims. At the same time, it actively monitors the social and economic situation in Ukraine.
The aim of the Maidan24 platform is to communicate, on an ongoing basis, information about the missions undertaken by the Foundation and the activities organised in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
Maidan24 was set up at the end of January and beginning of February as a platform through which to monitor violations of human rights: the situation of arrestees and detainees and those missing after the protests in Kiev and other cities in Ukraine. At the same time, a branch of the Open Dialog Foundation has been established in Kiev and a help centre named “Ukrainian World” has been opened in Warsaw, for Ukrainians in Poland.
Funds are also collected to help run the Foundation’s assistance activities – long-term missions, purchases of prostheses and medicines for Maidan victims, or help for Crimean refugees. The assistance in Poland also comprises help in finding accommodation and/or employment.
